Your goal in this project is to plan, design create and produce a professional, fully functioning website or blog that reflects your skills as a Year 3, Bachelor student. Your aim is to produce an individual, technology-based, record of your learning during this course.

This project is designed to help you to reflect on and then to describe your learning each week, and then to summarize your journey through this course.

You may use any blogging platform such as Wordpress, Tumblr, Blogspot or Google Sites. Please see some example student sites here that may help you make a choice.

You will add a reflective statement for each of the Modules and will be expected to include all other relevant documents to your E-folio. You will also add an overall reflective statement, outlining your learning and your progress towards development of workplace transferrable skills to prepare you for the competitive UAE labour market of today.

When creating this E-folio, take this opportunity to showcase your skills and talents. Ask yourself, “would I be proud to display this efolio of my work?”

E-Folio Layout Guidelines

Instructions
1. This is an individual project.
2. Go to http://webbyawards.com. This site has the "Best of the web" awards to many web sites for their design and content. Browse through this site and make note of sites that you like and pay close attention to how the sites have used layout, images, navigation animation and other content.
3. The layout, format and presentation is your decision – but remember – this is an E-folio and must reflect your image as you would want a prospective employer to view you.
4. If you decide to include PowerPoint presentations, they must be in slideshow format and be viewable online without needing to download the file first.
5. Consider the person viewing your efolio.  Everything must download quickly and without interruption.  Graphics must be broken down into smaller pieces rather than one big graphic template that you have created in Photoshop.
6. Make sure that music and/or sounds on your site are appropriate and professional.  Be very careful!!

  • Write about something different that you have done/learned/experienced during each Module – make your comments interesting to read.
  • All comments/reflections must be clearly labelled.

Your E-folio and its contents must be professionally presented.
